FEAST Film Nights present a 35th anniversary screening of Jean-Jacques Beineix’s French arthouse classic Diva. Police corruption, murder, bootlegging, philosophy and opera are all thrown into the mix to create this stylish Parisian thriller.
Very much a film of its time, Diva set the tone for a new era of French cinema, the “cinema du look” with emphasis on image, art direction and mise en scene. With Diva the result is an exciting movie and a visual treat.
A selection of short films will be screened before the feature.
