This Sunday marks the six month anniversary of the West Norwood Feast. From a group of strangers meeting for the first time in December, the Feast has grown into a merry band of dedicated volunteers striving to transform Norwood High Street with a delicious medley of stalls, live music and performance, and of course, miles of bunting.
Alongside this, we’ve been hard at work boosting the profile of Norwood High Street within the local community. From events at the Portico Gallery on Knight’s Hill and sponsorship from Winkworth estate agents, to stalls run by businesses on the high street such as Floral Hall and Beamish & McGlue, it’s clear West Norwood has a lot to offer.
So let’s celebrate it with another rip-roaring Feast! Where else can you watch jive dancers do the Lindy Hop while savouring a tasty Mexican taco? Or buy a bergonia en route to an art fair on the same street?
And if that sounds like fun, why not come and get involved? We’re always looking for keen volunteers to help run the Feast, whether that’s putting up stalls, or being a friendly point of contact on the day. Just email hello@westnorwoodfeast.comwestnorwoodfeast.com or pop down to one of our weekly meetings, Tuesdays at 6.30pm in The Railway Tavern, Tulse Hill for more information.
See you on Sunday!
