We’re excited to bring you another bumper programme for our 3rd Stay Home Feast.
As with the Feast programmes that you all know and love, we’ll be bringing you information about our favourite Traders – including exclusive special offers – along with a jam packed entertainment schedule and activities for kids. West Norwood’s community spirit shines through on these days and we’re proud that we’re still bringing Feast to West Norwood (albeit virtually).
Many of our Feast visitors are keen to understand our plans for the rest of the year now that the government has started lifting restrictions. We are as keen as everyone to get back to our usual West Norwood Feast on the high street; now more than ever our local high streets and small traders need our support.
We are working closely with Lambeth and other local community groups to ensure that our future plans are appropriate, well thought out and workable. Our visitor, trader and volunteer safety is our primary concern, and until we are absolutely happy that all safely aspects are covered, we’ll continue to run our virtual Feasts. Things are moving quickly, guidance is still emerging so we’re working hard behind the scenes to plan. Stay tuned!
This month at #StayHomeFeast, we’ve got some smashing activities for kids (and grown ups) to get involved in. Not only do we have the ‘reimagining West Norwood High Street’ model making activity with Jessie from Movers&Makers (find the video on our YouTube channel) but we also have a fun movement session with Alys (find the video on our YouTube channel) to encourage kids over 4 to use their imagination and get moving. We are also delighted to have a singing and rhyme Makaton session for under fives. More details to follow.
We will be kicking the day off to a bouncy start with Ali from Boppin Tots. This hugely popular group usually takes place in the Leisure Centre on Monday mornings so we’re very excited to host a session just for little Feasties. Grab some shakers and be ready to shake your stuff at 10am!
A Small Studio – Reimagining Norwood High Street
London Festival of Architecture
We are excited to have teamed up with local architecture practice – A Small Studio – to engage children and young people in sharing their ideas about how Norwood High Street could look. As part of London Festival of Architecture and working with the local community to propose a radical re-think of the use of Norwood High Street. You can join in by downloading the exciting templates on our website, watching the video by Jessie and making your own models and drawings of your ideas. #LFAdigital2020
